Beimnet Abebe is a seasoned finance professional with a rich history in trading and strategy roles across prominent financial institutions. Currently, he serves as the Director of Principal Trading at Galaxy in New York, having previously held the position of Vice President in the same department for nearly two years.

Before joining Galaxy, Beimnet was associated with Citi for almost five years. His journey at Citi began as a CitiFX Strategist, where he was responsible for global cross-asset technical and macro strategy coverage. He then transitioned to Equity Derivatives Trading, advancing from an Analyst to an Associate in a short span. His final roles at Citi saw him delve into Short Term Rates Trading, where he climbed the ranks from Associate to Vice President within a couple of years.

Earlier in his career, Beimnet gained valuable experience at Kimberlite Frontier Africa Fund as a Summer Analyst and at Toro Capital Management LLC as a Trading Assistant. At Toro, he was instrumental in updating risk parameters for the firm's internal S&P options pricing model and conducting sensitivity analysis on energy trusts in relation to WTI crude prices.

Beimnet's analytical prowess was also evident during his tenure as a Summer Global Macro Analyst at The Rock Creek Group's Hedge Fund of Funds. Here, he generated investment notes for institutional investors, engaged in risk management meetings with high-profile hedge fund managers, and played a key role in updating the internal diligence system.

His foundational experiences include internships at Merrill Lynch Private Wealth Management, where he analyzed the potential of transitioning from mutual funds to ETF models and assisted in the selection of mutual funds and index funds for clients.

With a career spanning over a decade, Beimnet has showcased his expertise in trading, strategy, and risk management, making him a valuable asset in the world of finance.
