Cathy is the General Counsel at Wormhole Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting research and development in blockchain interoperability technologies.

Cathy has diverse and extensive work experience representing a wide range of clients including hedge funds and private equity firms, institutional banking, capital markets and market utilities. She now focuses on the growth of digital assets from a capital markets and infrastructure perspective.

Prior to joining Wormhole Foundation, Cathy was the Chief Legal Officer at MPCH Labs, a venture studio focused on applications of multi-party computation. She has also held roles as the general counsel for The INX Digital Company, Inc., co-head of the fintech and blockchain practice group for a major law firm, the general counsel for a blockchain advisory firm and its affiliated broker-dealer and as managing director and senior counsel at The Bank of New York Mellon.

She is a leading voice in the development of the blockchain and crypto ecosystem, working as a member of several blockchain industry groups and speaking on the challenges which exist within the space. Cathy also serves as a steering committee member of Global Blockchain Convergence, a global blockchain policy think tank.
